New magic mirror technology allows women to go shopping with anyone they know, even if that person is thousands of miles away.
Digital commerce concoctors, IconNicholson have created a mirror equipped with infrared technology capable of transmitting a live video feed to any mobile phone or e-mail account specified by the discerning shopper.
Chief technology officer for the design company, Christopher Enright, sees the product as technology catching up with habit, “adding technology to something we already do."
Until now many consumers have used mobile phones to send pictures to friends while browsing. Now it’s even easier; "She could be in Paris, your mom, watching you try on your wedding dress while you are in New York."
The mirror also allows the virtual ‘trying on’ of items to see if they suit you. A touch screen is included for the selection of shoes and accessories. The only thing missing is the ability to alter your figure, come on technology!
